More than 17.2 million people around the world have been diagnosed with the new coronavirus. More than 10 million patients have recovered, and at least 673,000 have died, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. The biggest increases were from the US, Brazil, India and South Africa. Deaths rose by 6,812.
