Kumar Sangakkara gets a role in ‘The Hundred’

Former Sri Lanka Captain Kumar Sangakkara has been named in the commentary panel for ‘The Hundred’, ECB’s latest Franchise Cricket Tournament.

The Hundred’, the latest ‘100-ball’ format introduced by the ECB was to be played last year but got postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is now rescheduled to begin on the July 22 this year.

SkySports, the official broadcaster for the tournament has issued a list of current and former players who will be part of the commentary team, including Andrew Flintoff, Kevin Pietersen, Wasim Akram, Dinesh Karthik, Stuart Broad, Daren Sammy and Kumar Sangakkara. (D.R)
