The GCE Advanced Level Examination and The Grade 5 Scholarship Examination have been rescheduled for November, Education Minister Prof.G. L. Peiris said.
He was speaking at an SLPP Press Conference yesterday. He said the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination will be held on November 14 and the GCE Advanced Level Examination will be held from November 15 to December 10.
He also said that the deadline for submitting applications for Grade 1 Admission for the year 2022 has been extended until August 7.
Both exams usually fall in August, but the Ministry decided to postpone them in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier, it was proposed to hold the two exams in October, but the Ministry considering the situation and requests of parents and teachers has re-scheduled them for November.
