Intercity and special train service fares increased

Fares of intercity and special train services have been increased, the General Manager of Railways announced.

The revision in fares is effective from midnight yesterday (March 23).

At a Cabinet meeting held earlier this month, Minister of Transport Dilum Amunugama hinted at an increase in train ticket fares in line with the recent fuel price hike. – ada derana
